STATIONS OF THE CROSS MEDITATION

Yesterday evening we had an evening meditation on the 14 Stations of the Cross. Each station began with a short passage from scripture, followed by reflections on the context of the events, how the people involved in this part of Christ's journey would be feeling, and what parallels there are in our lives and in our world today. The station then finished with a prayer.
The impact was even stronger because of the pictures that were displayed for each station. These fourteen powerful works of art were produced by pupils at the parish secondary school, St Thomas More's, and we thank them and their teacher.
Thanks also to everyone who came and who helped in any way. People commented on how moving and powerful it had been, and the Justice and Peace Group will be looking at how to follow this.
